Pine Bush Area Library Survey

The Pine Bush Area Library is asking patrons and non-patrons alike, to please fill out the attached survey.  We are still collecting your thoughts on the needs for our library facility, programming and services. If you would be so kind as to print it out, if you can, and return it to the Library either in person or by snail mail (Pine Bush Area Library PO Box 63 Pine Bush, NY 12566)  or email to: pbl@rcls.org so we can get a good cross section of what the community thinks, it would be appreciated.  Thank you for your thoughts!

The Pine Bush Area Library is proud to be a member of the Mohonk Preserve!

The Pine Bush Library is now a member of the Mohonk Preserve.  Free passes are available at the library – sign out the passes as you would a book. The passes will be good for 3 days.  This program is part of a suite of existing community benefits. Passes will be available on a first come first serve basis.   This program encourages people to spend time in nature, increasing nature’s relevance to their lives.  More information regarding the passes will be available at the main desk. To participate in this program, you must be a Pine Bush Library card holder in good standing. To reserve your passes, please call the Library at 845 744-3375.

Rosetta Stone – FREE

rs800x600

Rosetta Stone Language Learning is computer-assisted language learning (CALL) software published by Rosetta Stone Inc. The software uses images, text, and sound to teach words and grammar by spaced repetition, without translation. Rosetta Stone calls its approach Dynamic Immersion (a term which has been trademarked).

Our library now offers Rosetta Stone to patrons for FREE! Normally a $100-$200 value per language, this is a great opportunity funded by Central Library in Newburgh.

How to find Rosetta Stone through our website:

  1. Go to our Pine Bush Area Public Library website. Beneath the banner up top of the picture of the library is a row of different tabs. Click “Research.”
  2. Once in “Research,” click “View all our Databases and Research aids here.”
  3. This link will lead you to the library’s databases, research aids, and newspapers. Click the tab that says, “Databases A-Z,” then click the letter “R” for Rosetta Stone. -OR- Click the tab that says “Languages.” This will also lead you to Rosetta Stone.
  4. From there enter your library card number. This will then give you access to Rosetta Stone. Enjoy!
