Observed annually on July 15th, National Pet Fire Safety Day is a holiday that encourages everyone to take the time to learn more about what they need to do to keep their pets safe if there’s a fire. Every year, approximately 40,000 pets die in residential fires-most of them from smoke inhalation.
This is a tragedy that far too many pet owners aren’t prepared to deal with. That’s why everyone is encouraged on this day to learn how to protect their pets and their homes from fire. This is a holiday that’s been observed since 2009 and is just as relevant today as it was back then.
